My passion for all things medical and health began during my formal education. I entered medical school at the age of eighteen and earned my Medical Doctorate after six years. I completed a three-year Family Medicine Residency training in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I am a member in good standing with the following associations: A native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, I currently reside in Oxford, Alabama, with my wife and son. Marie has been an RN for over 12 years and is currently a stay-at-home mom to their vivacious 4-year-old son. Marie loves healthcare and making patients feel like family. She is very excited about their new family clinic and what it offers the Oxford community. Children and Adults, who are ill and wish to be seen, will be scheduled for sick appointments during normal office hours. If you wish to schedule an appointment, please call on the day you want your child to be seen and we will schedule a time for you. Our office opens at 8 am to schedule appointments. Sick visits for chronic complaints usually require more physician time than an acute problem. When you call, please tell the scheduler if the problem has been recent or long-standing. On occasion, we may have you speak with a nurse to discuss the nature of your visit so that we may allot the proper amount of time to address your concerns. The goal of this process is to evaluate an athlete’s general health, current fitness level, risk of injury and physical wellbeing. School and sports physicals are recommended for patients participating in school or interleague sports programs, club sports teams or new fitness regimens. During the physical, your physician may perform the following: During the exam, our physicians will identify any conditions that might keep you or your child out of the game or affect performance. It is recommended that athletes have a physical six weeks prior to the start of the sports season. This allows for ample opportunity to address existing injuries and improve conditioning. Call the main number [**(256) 770-4750**](tel:+12567704750), and there will be an option for the emergency mailbox. Please leave a message with your name, concern, and a callback number. The on-call physician will be notified and will return the call. We ask our patients to reserve the calls for true emergencies. For things that can wait for the next business day, please use the option to leave a message for the receptionist. The telephone hours are 8-5 Monday-Thursday and 8-4 Friday. Established patients can ask non-urgent questions through the Patient Portal. Online questions will be answered during regular office hours. If you call, please help us make the best use of your time and ours. When leaving a message for the nurse, include your name, your doctor’s name, and your date of birth and briefly describe the reason for your call. Always give us the best phone number to return your call. Every effort is made to return calls by the end of the day. If you have an urgent need after hours, call the main number and follow the prompts to contact the doctor on call. Processing refills through the pharmacy is the most efficient and accurate method. Please call your pharmacy, and they will fax us the complete information. If you need to contact us about your prescriptions (including birth control pills), please call during office hours. Non-urgent medication changes will only be made during office hours. Please have the phone number for your pharmacy available at the time of your call. You can also request prescription refills through the Patient Portal. Allow 48 hours for all refill requests. If you have not gotten results in a reasonable time frame, feel free to call. If you have questions about your account you may contact the business office by using the Patient Portal. If you want to call, follow the prompt for the business office. We use Pathology Reference Lab (PRL) for Pap smear interpretation. They provide 24-hour telephone service to give results to our patients. The results will be available on the phone line 7 days after the day the sample is taken. - **Mammogram** – Within 1-2 weeks of the exam, the radiology facility will notify you of the results by mail. - **Blood Tests** – Allow 3-5 working days for results to be available. Quest Laboratories is our primary lab for blood tests. Other labs are used if required by the patient’s insurance. - **Biopsy** – Allow 3-7 working days for biopsy results to be available.
